I was about to push the purchase of the Fuji 23 F2 when I noticed the Viltrox 23 F1.4. After doing my due diligence and reading the various reviews I thought why not? If it didn't live up to the hype, I could always return it. Well, in short, I hold! It is razor sharp with excellent color reproduction. Sure, there's a bit of chromatic aberration and vignetting wide open, but I've had other much more expensive lenses that had the same minor issues. The bokeh isn't bad either. In fact, I bought it together with my Fuji F1.2 for portrait photography. But it's good for a lot more. And the autofocus works flawlessly on my X-T2. The only thing that takes some getting used to is the clickless bezel, which is easy to accidentally change. You just need to be mindful of your f-number, and if you want to shoot really wide open for maximum bokeh, a piece of tape will hold the aperture ring in place. Did I mention this is an all metal construction including the lens hood? If you want a Fuji 23 F1.4 but can't afford the price, try the Viltrox 23 F1.4. I bet you will be pleasantly surprised.
