I can't say anything good about these barrels. I bought a pair for each of my boys (3 and 5) to start swimming lessons. All summer none of them wore their swim trunks in our backyard kiddy pool. They need to learn to swim but I had visions of them coming up from the dive and the alligators fighting them only to fight unsuccessfully try to put them back in their cases and are asked not to return to the pool. Those chests took my fears away. There is no lining, the touch is smooth and dense but not tight, the colors are pleasing to the eye, no strange smell or stains. They wash great too (we rinsed them in tap water after a swim and immediately put them on a gentle cycle and hung them to dry). My 5 year old is autistic so sensory issues are part of our everyday experience and these swim trunks allow me to take him swimming with confidence. I am willing to buy a pair of any size.
