This cup is strong! I had my eye on it for a while and never ordered it because the only seller that listed it was over $25. I wanted this because I love fishing and the message on the mug was too funny not to have! When it arrived at a much lower price I ordered it. When I opened the box, I realized that paying $25 could make me feel good. This is very hard work. The downside to this weight is that it chills hot liquids quickly unless you heat the mug with hot water first. I solve this problem by filling the mug with water before pouring coffee. But once heated, it helps retain heat for a long time. Best of all, it can be washed in the dishwasher and used in the microwave. Too many fancy mugs have to be hand washed, which is generally not a big deal for my kids when they have to hand wash their dad's coffee mug when they load the dishwasher. So I try not to use a lot of my fancy coffee mugs. But this mug has become my favorite.
