Takes your tofu to the next level!

I try to free my life from plastic as much as possible. I just hate the idea of all this plastic messing up the environment and infiltrating our bodies. For about a year now I've been choosing renewable and biodegradable materials like bamboo when thinking of buying anything. This press fits that description. I have pressed my tofu by wrapping it in a towel and placing heavy objects on it and I have to say it has never worked as well as this press! This press will take your tofu to the next level. The assembly, it seemed to me, was not difficult, although there were no instructions, it was easy to figure it out. Cleaning is easy and storage is fine. The appearance is beautiful. It goes with all my bamboo cutting boards and I feel better using bamboo which is not really a tree but a reed/grass that grows amazingly fast so is easy to regenerate. My understanding of bamboo is that it has its own antimicrobial properties, but you need to make sure you dry it well before storing and don't leave water on it. I don't think it's curable, but I don't think there's a reason to treat it. None of my other bamboo kitchen items are processed and they are fine. That's all I can say. I can't imagine that disappointing anyone. Tofu is such a cheap and eco-friendly source of protein, and you don't even have to cook it! Since I've had this press, I've bought it more often and now I enjoy working with tofu even more.
