Removes hard water build-up around plumbing fixtures and dishes in dishwashing water

Original I was up Looking for a typical salt based water softener solution but was reluctant to do so as it requires constant attention to adding/maintaining salt. I decided to risk $150 on this solution just in case it works as advertised. I've had the device installed for a little over 90 days. I've noticed a significant reduction in hard water buildup around my sinks and faucets. But the main sign that the thing really works is the dishes in the dishwasher. Before installing this I washed the dishwasher and all the glasses were "white" due to hard water. It was so bad we stopped using the dishwasher. I just put a few plates in the dishwasher and the glasses are sparkling. They looked like new glasses. To be honest I didn't expect this thing to work very well. But luckily I was wrong and now thank god I don't need a salt water softener at home. The odd thing is that I have an electronic water hardness meter that I bought at the same time as this unit. I measured the water hardness before installing the device and I measure it every two weeks. I didn't notice any significant changes on this measurement, but the bottom line is that the pesky bits of hard water are no longer bothersome. He claims that the inside of the water heater and other systems are also cleaned. I don't know if this actually happens or not, but based on other external evidence I'm inclined to think it works there too. I used to help my mom and dad carry bags of salt down to the basement and fill up the water softener. I'm very glad I don't have to do that in my house.
