I installed nine of these jars in our kitchen for a renovation we are doing. I used a Harbor Frieght 4 1/4" hole saw to cut holes in the 5/8" drywall. You can use the template provided to cut out the holes by hand. I cut two holes by hand and decided to speed up the process by using a hole saw, much quicker and a perfect hole every time. I have found that the 4 1/4 hole size makes installing clamps much easier. I removed the clips, placed the glass in the hole, and then replaced the clips one at a time. It was easier and faster that way. Quick connectors also make it easy to connect glasses. I will buy these cans again. The tape comes with the jars you use to seal them after the clips are in place and the wiring is complete. My wife loves the look and the brightness. In other rooms we already had the original 6" and 4" recessed lights from the 1983 house, but these new LED lights are much more attractive and brighter. I need to change the old headlights.
