Review on 💡 Perixx PERIBOARD-317 Wired Backlit USB Keyboard with Big Print Letter and White LED Illumination, US English Layout by Rain Flores

I just received this backlit keyboard and have been using it for a few hours. It has issues and I may have to return it. Here are the pros and cons so far: Pros: - It's the right size in terms of desktop space and custom key sizes with a standard key layout. - The keys feel "good" and are fun to tap on. The stroke depth is 3-4mm, which is ideal for me. The backlighting of the keys is sufficient, if not outstanding! Essentially, it's based on transparent keycaps that have been painted over with black, leaving the letter characters "unfilled". If they had used bolder characters, the emphasis would have been stronger. - Competitive price. Cons: - Keyboard backlight on/off switch doesn't work. The Scroll Lock button, which is the same button, doesn't work either. The button status LED doesn't work either. This has been tested on multiple computers. The keyboard prevents the computer from going to sleep, suspend, or hibernation. When one of these modes is activated, the computer will start the appropriate cycle, but will "wake up" due to the "keyboard action" according to the computer's logs. This has also been tested on several different types/models of computers. The sides of the keycaps, which are left unpainted (transparent) to let light through, look "dirty" like someone spray-painted them in their entirety. This gives the product an unprofessional look. Manufacturer Perixx claims that this keyboard was developed in Germany. It could be, but the cons I listed above make it look like a cheap, unbranded clone product. So if the product worked as intended it would be a 4 star product. This product was made in China. .
