Nice keyboard but it lights up when you turn off the computer. In fact, every time you have to unplug the power cord from the keyboard to the computer to turn off the backlit keyboard. Take it! You can turn off the backlit keyboard while using it, BUT as soon as you turn off your computer, it will light up again. Really crazy! You read that right. If your computer stays on, you can turn off the backlit keyboard, but when you turn off your computer, the keyboard lights up again!

update - 7/20 - less than three months have passed and the paint is peeling off several keys. It's not terrible yet, but I'm sure in a few months I'll want to throw it away and buy something better. It's very easy to see the paint peeling off because as far as I can tell the entire key underneath the paint is transparent so you can see little new light holes coming through. I quite like the layout and backlight of this keyboard. I wish it had volume and media controls but I can live without them. The flat-top keys make it difficult to keep fingers on target, but that's not the main issue. What I can't stand is the noise. The keys click loudly, both when pressed down and on return. Like my new keyboard. I was looking for the one with the smallest footprint. Its dimensions are 5 x 17 1/4 inches. I also needed one with a backlight. I didn't want unnecessary features like rainbow colors or paying, playing lullabies :) etc. The backlight is bright enough and just turns on or off. I am satisfied with the price and the feel of the keys. Not spongy and not hard. They have a slightly springy feel so you know when they're being squeezed. It took me a while to get used to the flat keys, but I got the hang of it. I like the fact that I can see what the keys are even in low light. I deleted letters from several keyboards.
