uncomfortable size: diving and snorkeling

Overall this product feels great. This is a much cheaper alternative to the slightly more powerful Cressi 90 liter bag. Not as feature rich as Cressi but seems just as good quality. But the Athletico's straps would have been more comfortable, and the position of the shoulder straps on the Athletico's chest is better. The Cressi waist belt is much better: it's thicker and easy to adjust while wearing. But the Athletico's waist belt is strong enough to be functional. I would buy this bag (Athletico) if I were a tall man. However I had to return both Cressi and Athletico as I am actually a medium sized person. I'm 5ft 7" and 130 generally fits the "medium" average backpack torso of 17" (long torso for my size). This bag is not medium sized. Probably enough for a person over 6ft tall. Am I ended up going for a cheaper, lower quality bag ($30? PACMAXI) with a very thin but present hip belt as the straps and belt were much closer to correct size.Still a bit big but not big enough to be really cumbersome My main purpose for this bag was to use a backpack to carry all my various dry bags/gear for long distance kayaking trips.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Modern
