I keep this in my car because I don't want to end up with a car ashtray full of wires. At first everything went well, which means the LED was nice and bright until you smoke a cigarette. However, after a few months, I noticed that the LED began to dim within 30 seconds of opening the lid. When the cigarette is finished, it's very, very boring. One caveat: I was initially annoyed that I couldn't smoke a cigarette and had to pop it in the mouthpiece to burn it out. Smoke did not come out through the lid, but I found it inconvenient to do so. My solution was to fill it 1/2 full with sand. So I can smoke a cigarette and stick it in the sand. It's easy enough to throw out cigarette butts when it gets full, and a hand vacuum does a great job of sucking up lighter ash and leaving heavier sand in place.
