These sensors work fine. I've found slight differences in thickness around different parts of the scale (the tips tend to be thicker than the middle). I don't have a tool that can measure the variance, but it's pretty small. This is also the first set of sensors I own so this may or may not be typical. I used them to test a set of spark plugs that were preset at .022. When measuring the gaps of my spark plugs, all of the plugs matched the center of the gauge (near the sticker), but a few got stuck on the end of the gauge. Again, there is a very small difference in thickness. Regardless, they are accurate enough to confirm that breaks are typically between 0.02 and 0.022.
