These sheets are made from fine microfiber that is so soft and smooth right out of the box. Just wash them once or twice and they're absolutely divine - no crusty, rough sheets! The fabric is a bit thin which I think adds to the softness, but it's also tightly woven with an 1800-thread weave so very durable; Nevertheless, microfiber is a very durable material. Another great thing about microfiber is that it contains dyes, so the vivid color of the sheets you see on the packaging is the color they keep. Like other microfiber products I've had, these sheets have not faded or shrunk. These sheets are also easy to care for - simply machine wash and dry, no special treatment is required. In fact, I washed and dried them and they tumbled for a couple of days. When I pulled them out they didn't even wrinkle after being tumble dried for two days! I chose a queen sized set that included a flat sheet, fitted sheet, and two pillowcases. The pillowcases have an envelope flap at the open end to tuck in one end of the pillow which is nice and ensures the white pillow fabric doesn't show out so it doesn't ruin the look of those solid black sheets. All pieces fit well on the bed and the sheet has deep pockets that work well with mattresses of different thicknesses. All in all, these are regular sheets with nothing out of the ordinary or revolutionary, but the fact that they're made from microfiber really makes them special.
