I wear them all summer on our lake - I'm very disappointed with how silly they look :) but they are perfect for walking on the docks etc. They walk on the water like they are barefoot. Especially since we have zebra mussels that are cut with bare feet. Out of the water they are good on any surface except sharp rocks. Cons: 1) They don't dry quickly and I usually take them off when fishing so my feet don't get wet. 2) They are not easy to put on when wet. Finally, mine aren't usually worn for more than two seasons as the bottom comes off easily. But I'm pretty strict with them.
