First of all, the cup is very nice. While it doesn't seem like a big deal, it's a lot more enjoyable to drink from and I remember buying drinks from it on a number of occasions (at least before COVID hit). I also like that when you remove the bung there is a hole large enough to insert a bean straw (which in turn lends itself to "putting drinks on the go" in it), which is actually the main reason I use it decided to buy this against my competition. I also like that it's easy to fix as Keep Cup sells various parts on their website to extend the life. From an ethical point of view, I like that Keep Cup is both B Corp and part of the 1% for The Planet. There are a few flaws in terms of functionality, but they don't bother me personally. If any of the following things are important to you, then don't buy this mug: - not thermally insulated, loses heat like a ceramic mug - a little heavy - also not super strong as it's glass (I'm very careful not to drop it ) - NOT airtight and will leak if the mug is placed on its side - the lid is a bit difficult to remove (it is not recommended to remove the lid while there is a drink in it as it may cause liquid to splatter ) - must be hand washed (DO NOT REMOVE LID. At first when washing a cup I noticed that the cork slipped off. However, over time the cork strip started to tighten) - the cork strip is slightly higher than where the hand usually rests on (not suitable if you intend to drink a lot of hot drinks). be a deal breaker for some.
