I prefer a wedge over an edge.
I have one of these and Maclocks Wedge. It is not as secure as the wedge as it is attached with 1 screw instead of 4. Also make sure you mount it on the opposite side from where you will be using the mouse. With a cable lock, everything you do on that side of the laptop becomes tricky and cluttered. Overall I didn't find it reliable and sent it back.
