I have one of these and Maclocks Wedge. It is not as secure as the wedge as it is attached with 1 screw instead of 4. Also make sure you mount it on the opposite side from where you will be using the mouse. With a cable lock, everything you do on that side of the laptop becomes tricky and cluttered. Overall I didn't find it reliable and sent it back.

This particular lock will not work with the new MacBook Pro 13. I had to order another lock which I am waiting to install as my child goes to school.

Apple has been the ultimate standard by which everyone else is measured, but they get pretty weird with age, especially with their laptops. I installed this on my 2014 15" MacbookPro Retina. It comes with 2 extra rubber bands to elevate the back of the computer I burned a hole in my Mac's plastic case for this and I love the feel and look of it, I didn't use the rubber feet as my case already lifted the computer I still find it a bit pricey and it is only one Phillips #0 screw to remove (I was expecting at least a special type of screw head) Overall I'm happy with this purchase as I leave my computer unattended in the office from…
