I live in Washington state and I used this by the beach on a warm fall day. It was such a big help blocking the damp sand from soaking up my blanket. It comes with hooks so you can keep it in place in the sand and prevent the wind from lifting the edges. It makes such a difference. This beach blanket was huge and could fit like a lot of people on it. I can’t wait to use it as a hammock in the summer. It would also be pretty helpful at the park to use under your picnic blanket. I love this! It is a must have for me.
