UPDATE - this update is less than a week after my original review - I have now downgraded 3 stars to 1 - the light just stopped working. They stayed overnight for about 3 hours for 2 nights. The solar panel gets direct sunlight during the day, then the 3rd night and so on, they just don't work at all. I thought 3 hours was bad but now it's 0 - I even completely blocked the solar panels with a towel just to try to get them to turn on tonight and no! So now I have to take them down from the tree and find an alternative string of lights. Bummer ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW - I bought these because of the remote control to make changing colors/speed etc easier. I put them in a tree about 4 feet from the front window and the remote pressed against the window doesn't work. You actually have to go outside and get closer for it to work, and sometimes there's a lag or the color picker I press doesn't register. The colors are nice and the lights are pretty bright but as the remote doesn't work that well I think the price is higher than it should be but I'll keep it
