Review on Canon PowerShot SX50 HS Camera by Wiktor Janusz ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A high-quality product, the price corresponds to the quality.

For a year I was looking for an ultrazoom for my "photo growth" Nikon P 510/520, Fuji HS 30/50 EXR, Fuji SL 1000, Sony HX 200/300, Panasonic FZ 200 and all others for 25 it was not possible to buy, HS on sale, after looking at the technical data, it remains to wait for user reviews, good video with soft and quiet zoom, quick start, convenient settings ring, simplicity and consistency of settings, charging and discharging the battery without surprises: the indicator at the end allows you to work normally (40 photos + 5 minutes of video with a blinking indicator), charging less than 2 hours through a charger (a stone in Nikon) use RAW because of laziness: it turned out to be a successful JPG right away - it’s good, but no - you can’t fix curved arms by nature, and it’s not a SLR to “squeeze and pull it out” The other day I had the opportunity to test the camera to the fullest at a dance festival: on one charge 415 frames, 25 minutes of HD video, the emotions of children on their faces from a distance of 50-70 m, I was not too lazy to collect the main thing for which it is worth buying this device as an ultrazoom in the album: although the shooting conditions are about average (not sunny e summer) we want to take a picture of the Moon, and a crow, and a family, and an ant, and at the same time also have a good video camera in 600 grams and have a "professional" look from afar - we open a wallet (account), we consider, if enough is enough - we take it and do not bathe, through year all the same all hits will be "obsolete" HS, a successful upgrade of the company's SX series, which is very rare.

Pros
  • RAW, ISO 400/800
Cons
  • Exposure more than 1 sec lowers ISO to 80, so the shutter speed could be extended from 15 and on a 456,000 dot display you can’ just so as not to leave an empty “disadvantages” column
