Review on πŸ“± Unlocked Samsung Galaxy S9 G960U 64GB Smartphone with 4G LTE & 12MP Camera - Midnight Black by Agata Fatyga ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not quite what I wanted, but mostly okay.

So, the phone is not worth the asking price; the camera is its one saving grace, but even that is insufficient. These issues have plagued previous models in this range (s7, s8) and will almost certainly affect the upcoming s10 within the next few months. The phone has its own life and will "go to sleep" if the battery is below 20%. I find Dolby Atmos to be a depressingly pointless convenience: if it can be enabled automatically from the factory, there's no reason to activate it just to show off how young and capable we are. Perhaps I'm missing something, but I get the impression that this is just an attempt to impress, so I'd like it if you could tell me more about how Dolby Atmos works. The phone drained 20% of its battery life in under 20 minutes as I was writing a review; granted, I had modem mode activated, but still.

Pros
  • 1) It has decent ergonomics, it feels excellent in your hand and it does not slide about. Samsung is succeeding in this respect. 2) There are no issues with the camera (primarily used for video), while still photographs can be unreliable at times. Thirdly, reading and transferring files quickly is a ten. 4) The 3.5 mm IP68 jack is readily available 5) Samsung Pay is simple to use and authenticates your handset, making it ideal for making purchases. (6) The music sounds great via the stereo, and I've found me using headphones less and less.
Cons
  • (1) The most crucial and intriguing When your phone's battery is between 5 and 17 percent full, you turn it on, see 17 percent, and think you have time to go grocery shopping; however, when you check your battery level again 3 minutes later, you'll see that you're down to 3 percent, and you can't use Samsung Pay until you have at least 5% charge. 2) The fingerprint sensor does not operate as well as those found in some Chinese smartphones; the issue is not that it does not detect the fingerprint, but that it does not even see it. I have tried placing my finger on the sensor five times with no success; the device does not report an invalid fingerprint or anything of the sort; rather, it simply shuts off as though my finger were not present. Regarding clever scanning, I will remain mum. (3) Independence In other words, if I use my smartphone for anything more than two or three hours in a day (the rest of the time it stays on standby mode), the battery will be dead by the end of the day. That's so even if HD, not QHD, is the screen resolution. At $55,000, this is little compared to the price of a comparable phone. The battery life of a device at 100% charge is about 3-4 hours. Fourthly, while browsing the web, the phone heats up to a level comparable to that of a neutron star. I haven't tried games like Asphalt or PUBG on it, but I'm sure it's a top-tier farm. So, it is no surprise that the phone gets hot in use and is consequently extremely unpleasant to handle.
