I love coffee. I like to make coffee in a french press/cafe. I've been using them for many years. My last one was over 20 years old when it finally broke in the dishwasher. I was looking for a coffee pot that can make two cups of coffee. I finally found this one that makes four cups. My measurements say it's 2 cups of black coffee. This is a glass jar with a handle. The filter system uses two layers of fine filter mesh, a replacement kit is included. The base is a silicone ring that keeps everything in a stable state. It also comes with a coffee bean scoop. Knowing how to use a French Press, I found it easy to use and clean. I don't wash it in the dishwasher, but it can be washed in the dishwasher. Here is my recipe for two cups: 1 - Grind 3 heaping tablespoons (3 of the scoops provided) in an electric coffee grinder for 5-6 seconds. 2 - Pour ground coffee into the pot 3 - Boil enough water 4. - Pour boiling water into the cup you want to use and then pour the water over the ground coffee.5 - Repeat step 4, if you want two cups.6 - Quickly stir the coffee and water mixture7 - Place the filter in the jug8 - Wait four minutes. Carefully lower the filter unit to the bottom of the jug and catch the grounds under the filter. 10 - Pour 11 - Enjoy It's easy to use, easy to clean and highly recommended.
