Review on πŸš— Monroe SC2912 Magnum Steering Stability Damper by Erik Barela

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The damper is good but the controls are TERRIBLE!

(Bought to replace a worn out stabilizer bar on my 1971 Ford Bronco.) The damper itself works fine but the hardware is TERRIBLE. As another reviewer mentioned, the nut I received in the package didn't fit the shock threads and that shouldn't come as a surprise as it's NOT ROUND! Check out the attached photo for yourself. I think it must be harder to make an oval walnut than just a round one! A quick trip to the hardware store and I was able to get everything I needed to install, but it's annoying that it wasn't just in the box. Also, I received only one gear! The package included a nut, two washers and two bushings, which are not shown in the product image. Luckily I replaced the bushings with plastic ones anyway and was able to reuse two washers from the old stabilizer bar, but that wasn't promised in the product description either! If you buy this, be sure to check the contents of the package first before starting this project.
