This filter is high on my options list for the simple reason that it is so easy to remove. The nut on filter is such a useful feature that I honestly don't know why all the other manufacturers don't do it, but I won't even try another filter until they do. Of course, never overtighten the filter, only 1/2. 3/4 turn right after making contact with the gasket and I've never had a leak. However, a little mechanical assistance is required to begin removal. Even after "breaking the seal" and spinning the filter freely, it's great to be able to spin it without touching it. If you warmed up the motorcycle well before changing the oil, the filter and oil will be hot.
