Water got under this gasket this winter. The water froze and tore the belt along its entire length. This replacement fairing is an exact factory replacement. After removing the old skin, I plugged all the screw holes so there were no leaks. In doing so, I found that a few screws were missing, just a hole that the factory engineer had drilled but no screw inserted. The top and bottom of the decorative strip is embossed by me. As the saying goes, if you want something done well, do it yourself. I liked the product and highly recommend it for this problem.
