The contoured design of the Sufuhom memory pillow takes some getting used to. I've been using the contour pillow for years so I already know I love its shape. I sleep on my side and prefer to use the top end of the contour pillow under my neck as it gives more support to my head, neck and shoulder. The outer pillowcase is machine washable. I washed and dried it without shrinking, after which it easily returned to the memory foam pillow. The contour pillow fits into a regular pillowcase, I always fold it in half. I fold the pillow and wrap it in polyethylene. I gave her a day to fully recover her shape. I didn't notice any smell after leaving it for a day. The memory foam is too soft for me. I prefer a rock to a pillow, so it's definitely a matter of personal preference.
