The rings are stiff, and do not swing freely like most towel rings. Perhaps they may loosen with use. Installation was pretty easy, but make sure the round wall mount is facing the correct direction (the rounded side faces the wall), as I spent a very frustrating few minutes trying to get the towel ring to fit. This was not clearly described in the instructions. It wasn’t until I gave up on installing the first ring and disassembled the second ring that I realized why I was having trouble. Aside from that (which was user error but could have been cleared up with a picture or description), installation took less than 5 minutes per towel ring and look very nice in my bathrooms.
