Not the best choice. The color is excellent / the size is not accurate.

1. DIVISION: The mat is divided into 1/8 marks on both sides.2. Size: The rug is marked 23 inches wide and 35 inches wide only. NOT 24x36. The rug is significantly narrower, making it difficult to install an entire piece of fabric (from edge to crease). This is a tight fit.3. Additional numbers: In addition to the main markings, there are also numbers on the edges, which is very convenient. It would be better if the matte was actually labeled as 24x36.4. Color: I run a shop that uses a lot of fabrics, so I know about 5 different brands very well. I bought this for the neutral light and dark gray options to use for photographing samples if needed. Nice neutral color.5. Slippery: The mat was very slippery. VERY slippery and not in a good way. My quilting fabrics didn't stay in place when I laid the ruler down. I ended up spraying it very lightly with "spray glue" which did the trick. Power: I'm not thrilled with how much power it takes to slide my circular knife across this mat. I can't say for sure as I don't have a comparison, but all of my spinning blades dull faster than usual.

Pros
  • Anti-glare, easy-to-read surface: This quilted mat is anti-glare and can be used in any light. Metric grid lines with angles (75Β° 60Β° 45Β° 30Β° 15Β°) ensure accuracy.
Cons
  • Requires Base
