I bought this book thinking I could learn some primitive crafts from it or that it might be another survival book to learn from. a convoluted way of describing methods that might be found elsewhere in a more constructive and simplified way. Instead I had to order a pocket sized SAS Survival Guide to replace my larger SAS Survival Guide for my camping/bug bag! Due to its 245 main pages, this book also has very few illustrative examples. While SAS survival books are full of examples with pictures and whatnot. lots of information to help you surviving that hike, the end of the world, or just having fun in the garden or in nature with the kids. Even my kids loved reading the SAS Survival Guide! Speaking of which, this book is worth buying if you don't mind reading and skimming through to find missing skills you didn't know you had.
