Bought to notify me when my dog is ready to return. She is very cute, she barks and whimpers pleasantly softly, sometimes it is difficult to hear her. We always set a timer so she won't be out in the cold for more than a few minutes, but we live in cold temperatures, so out of courtesy I wanted to give her something extra. I wrapped mine in a ziplock bag, stretched it out, and secured it with a rubber knot over the product. to protect against flying snow that sneaks under the eaves. It also feels good to move through the transparent plastic. I wanted a small motion detection area, basically right above the door as she approaches it. It takes some trial and error in positioning, but we got it almost perfect. I also like the added security bonus it offers. (Maybe I'll get another one in the future, we have skunks in the backyard. I'm wondering if it will recognize them? Don't let them activate one, I'll know I can bring them in if an animal is spotted.) That Setup was easy Personal opinion: I don't like how the ringing awkwardly repeats itself for the duration of motion detection, it doesn't stop when something is in range. It should beep every 5 seconds or something like that. There must be a frequency setting. For example, homes may require less frequency than businesses.
