I have antique chairs with the horsehair upholstered seats attached INSIDE the mahogany with springs and "interesting" filling. an expensive and daunting replacement problem! These covers are wonderful, they look very nice and fit perfectly. NOTE! EVERYONE is complaining about the gap in the back. all that it needs is a bit of velcro added to each side or snaps attached to close the gap. That is my next rainy day project. I also bought extra covers for my armchairs, knowing full well that they will not fit. I think a few new seams then a well placed couple of snips with my scissors and my problem will be solved.I WILL LET YOU KNOW HOW IT WORKS OUT! UPDATE: 10/19/20 I added Velcro stick on ovals ( purchased through Best Buy!) , 2 to each rear flap and it tightened up the gap in the fabric perfectly. stood up to the test of sitting in the chairs too! Still have not come up with an easy "fix" to the arm chairs yet! I am willing to take advise!
