A godsend for hanging large mirrors
Although you still need to measure where you nail, this bracket is a godsend for directly hanging large paintings and mirrors. They're super hard to find for some reason - they're not available at my local Home Depot, Lowes, or Walmart - but they're definitely worth using and having a few extras on hand. I wish they worked or the version came with screws and anchors instead of just nails.
