I don't normally write reviews, but when I find a product that exceeds expectations and provides information that can help others make a decision, I will. was very swollen and bruised a lot within 2 hours, i had an x-ray as i feared my racing season ended before it started, luckily for me there were no fractures. I immediately started looking for a stabilizing brace and found the ASO brace, it arrived 4 days after my first injury. I bent my ankle outward and decided to give it a try. I wear men's size 9 and ordered the medium size which fits me very well. Initially I was concerned about the loss of flexibility and irritation that might cause blisters or chafing, luckily I didn't have either, I put it on over a sock and wear a calf protector. so that no part of the orthosis touches the skin. My initial plan was to just go running to see how I feel and if I'm in pain I'm happy to say that after 60 minutes and 8.5 miles I haven't had any aches or pains. Irritation on any part of my leg! There was a moment when I felt like my ankle was twisting outwards, but I believe the brace did its job and prevented that. The fit and feel is very good, I think on future runs I won't even notice it's there. Hope that helps!
