Choose a transparent cover for installation tips and fingerprints.

UPDATE 2 Transparent cover: After a while I bought the exact same cover but made of transparent plastic. It's much nicer than matte. It's thicker, stronger and less likely to show fingerprints. UPDATE 1 on the matte case: I've had the case for a week now. I did a pretty good job of not leaving a mark on the front of the matte cover, but I ate a handful of cashews and then touched the front and that was it. The slightest oils on your hands will leave marks on the front. I tried different methods, but one day they stayed there. I'm not too upset as most of the time I need protection and the extra stickers will hide the blemishes but definitely something to consider when getting coverage for the looks. I will say that I LOVE the keyboard sleeve that came with the laptop case. Perfect. So this is a mixed package and some people might want to pay more for something else. However, that's normal for me. First review at Frosted I have an A2338 and when the box listed other models but not the A2338 I initially thought I had received the wrong item, especially having had placement issues. on the top cover. Here's a tip if you have the A2338: the instructions and video at the bottom of the product page indicate that there are side clips at the top. That's not true - there are only *corner clips*. This way you will have two clips at the bottom of the top (the part that covers the Apple logo) and the top will be smooth. If you have trouble pushing in the corner clips, you can slowly slide the entire cover down from the top and then snap the clips in from the bottom. At least it worked for me. Many people mention fingerprint issues on the matte case. This is probably more information you need, but here it is. The problem with fingerprints isn't the frosty exterior - at least not for me. When you put a case on your Mac, it's impossible not to touch the smooth interior of the case. I have found that this is where fingerprints are most likely to remain. Also, the ink rubs off the inside pretty easily like grease, so be careful when you touch the instruction sheet and then put the case on. Also, my original plan was to put stickers between my Mac and the case so they don't wear off once they're on the front. One has worn ink on the smooth inside. I used a small (tiny dose of alcohol) alcohol pad to prime and remove the ink stain and decided to use the stickers as usual and stick them on the front of the case rather than trying to salvage them. i like the feeling cases, and I'm guessing it comes with key covers for two different layouts. So I definitely got the keyboard layout I needed. I also really appreciate that the case has built-in feet for the floor. I think the quality of the case matches the price. The Hard Clear Case, which you can order from the Apple Store, costs almost $50. I think it's probably a harder plastic, but for protection from scratches and daily wear and tear I think it's a solid value. At the time of purchase, it was priced at $17.99, and Prime offers free shipping and returns.
