What a complete disappointment and waste of money! For a few dollars more I had to replace my Eureka QuickUp with another of the same kind. This Dirty Devil has no eureka suction. The roller fell out after a few minutes, while the only reason I had to replace my Eureka was that I figured I could take the base apart to clean the roller (it was FULL of my own long hair after the housekeeper had forgotten to clean them after each use) and being able to reassemble it (like I could do with any other large vacuum cleaner I've had). Turns out you can't! Decided to give Dirt Devil a try - wish I'd spent the $ to pay for my eligible hard handyman's hour to fix my eureka. We hope he's ready to make a deal. fix my eureka and accept DD as payment. Plastic is cheaper - like toys in the dollar store. The position of the cable BLOCKS you from winding the cable (see photo). The mud bowl is about 1/3 smaller and as mentioned suction is minimal. Oh, and it's way louder than Eureka. The sound of the engine is a bit piercing, don't waste money on it.
