If this phone is to be used in an environment with hearing loss, it is not suitable. This phone has very poor clarity to the listener and caller when amplification is used. Causes distortion in both listener and caller. Bought this model twice and both only lasted about a year before failing. I bought a ClearSounds A400 to replace it and it has greatly improved the hearing gain for both the listener and the caller. With the ClearSounds A400, you can also set the gain to always on in the settings without the listener having to turn it on every time they answer.
