Great idea in theory and works great for fudge making this afternoon. I followed internet advice to make sure the thermometer was accurate by testing the boiling water first. The low altitude conditions were intended to be tested at 212 degrees Fahrenheit and have been tested correctly. I will now use it for my annual holiday fudge. My wishes for a better product would be. longer handle, more strength and a sense of security when the thermometer is connected to the handle at the end of the handle, and maybe just a nicer product look - but that's my personal interior taste. A few hints: To remove the thermometer from the spatula for cleaning, or to use the thermometer without the spatula, pull the thermometer straight out of the spatula - no twisting required. Designed to be held by the right hand; Holding it with your left side, the thermometer dial shows the numbers upside down. Remember not to just throw everything in soapy water - the front/body of the thermometer is NOT waterproof. Simple basic thermometer - on/off button and C/F button. Light.
