Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ Denso 234-9010 Air Fuel Ratio Sensor: Perfectly Balanced Performance by Bryan Sperling

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A simple replacement for a 2002 4 cylinder Camry, works great.

I have a 2002 Camry with a 4 cylinder engine which makes this sensor very affordable. The heater (two black wires) on my old one failed open circuit at about 103,000 miles. I bought a matching socket (TEKTON 4929) with a slot for the sensor cable. I was willing to fight to grow old. Much to my surprise and delight, as soon as I squeezed the handle of the wrench a little, the old one fell out immediately. The new one comes with a tube of anti-seize, which I carefully applied to the threads, being careful not to get on the working end of the sensor. After that, the new one turned easily. I tightened it all the way with my fingertips and then turned it another 1/4-1/2 turn with a wrench. I started the engine and a few seconds later the check engine light went out.

Pros
  • Practical matter
Cons
  • The list will be long.
