Whilst the design seems good it is missing a loop after the D-ring to keep the extra collar out of the dog's way I never realized the importance of this inexpensive piece of leather My regular collar has one and it helps really.. I bought this collar while recovering from major surgery as I have nurses, physical therapists and a caregiver in and out of my home 24/7 so sometimes I find myself holding the handle on the collar for those of them who are feel uncomfortable when you enter the house. with a well-trained Doberman. Aside from being thin, his neck has a lot of extra skin that seems to bother him, and it's long enough to chew on its end. There aren't enough holes for a small neck either. This collar is the same length as your regular collar but doesn't have many holes so it fits loosely around your neck. I do not recommend this collar and will look for a replacement and will be returning this.
