These spa filters are a great product, long life but dependent on water situation. I have to change these filters every month instead of every 3 months as recommended, which is understandable. The filter is not to blame. I just have a lot of filtered residue. I have tried other brands/types of filters and had to change filters 3 times a month. I highly recommend these spa filters. The rippled surface appears to allow the filter to become progressively fouled, first inside the duct and then out of the duct as it becomes contaminated with debris, thus prolonging the life of the filter. Others pollute everything in one step and quickly restrict the flow of water. Be careful with filters with so-called folds or grooves on the inside! I believe these guys just go through the screw pin leaving only cosmetic jags or burrs. These whirlpool filters are expensive, but cheaper in the long run. They were much cheaper at the big department store but were replaced with a lower quality alternative. Too bad, so I took my business elsewhere!
