Rings on both filters mostly broken, cracked and falling off. After 30 minutes of walking I still see muddy water. It was shrink-wrapped, not boxed, so they were probably confused. Bad choice of shipping practices. There was also a 2019 sticker on the shrink wrap so it might have been old. I would stay away from this hot tub brand and find another replacement filter even if I have a hot tub system.

I installed a hot tub water softener 4 years ago and put (2) whole house filters in front of it. I use a WHKF-GD05 filter element as a first line of defense with a <1 micron hot tub carbon filter between it and the softener. I've started using pleated (paper) filters and have read that these filters work better when the media flows towards the center (not just the surface) through the entire filter. These spa filters are a great product, long life but dependent on water situation. I have to change these filters every month instead of every 3 months as recommended, which is understandable. The filter is not to blame. I just have a lot of filtered residue. I have tried other brands/types of filters and had to change filters 3 times a month. I highly recommend these spa filters.
