When I bought this table I knew it was going to be a "$200 table". I didn't expect very high quality, nor did I need it. I move every 3 years because of the military and my furniture is usually thrown away or donated when I move. This table arrived and I was very surprised when I opened the box. I'm pretty sure someone returned this table and chairs to the company before I received them. There were obvious scratches on the metal legs as well as lots of hair on the tape holding the pieces together. It too was covered with some kind of white dust. I easily assembled the frames for the chairs and table. But as I proceeded to match the tabletop to the frame and the seats to their frames, my problems began. The table wasn't pre-drilled for the holes so I had to make them myself. When I found the drill scattered in a hundred boxes in the garage, my patience ran out. When the holes were drilled, the screws that came with the kit were too short to hold the top to the frame. Cherry on the cake I tell you. You screw them in and they just turn, there's nothing for the screw to "bite" because they're so short. After it passes the metal frame and enters the table, about a quarter inch of the screw remains. The seats are exactly the same. You can completely remove the tabletop from the frame by lifting it up. Now it's like Russian roulette in my house when you sit on chairs or move the table in my kitchen. Does the top fall off? The seats don't fall apart when you sit down? Will I break my back if I fall off a chair? Who knows! Give him a chance! This is a great drunk party game! So if you are looking for disposable furniture that you may or may not send to the hospital, buy this table and chairs!
