Pretty but they didn't work

I've been trying to keep them on my widows for two days. Soapy water or strong moisturizer worked for a maximum of half a day. I only managed to keep 6 of these in place but these stayed in place on the first try. It didn't work for others I tried and tried and tried. They are very beautiful and only do their job if they can stand. Window. They're a bit thicker than these, maybe that's the difference. They are round too.
