Died in less than 6 months

Dell E-port docking stations are mainly designed for dinosaur computers. I ordered this item and have been using it for almost 6 months with sufficient reliability. A day after I plugged in my laptop, the screen replicators stopped working. I've tried restarting the device, swapping cables to make sure there are no faulty cables, installing new cables, etc. to no avail. I ended up buying a second port replicator and it worked fine when plugged in. If you have the opportunity, instead of buying…

Power cord not working (Dell Latitude E5470)

The dock works fine as long as I use the existing power cord that came with the Dell Latitude E5470. The one that came with the docking station is not recognized by my laptop. It only feeds the dock itself.

    • Decent performance

    • Ugly packaging

    Perfect fit for Dell E6520

I got this to use with my Dell Latitude E6520 laptop. We've only been using it for a few days, but so far it's working great. The laptop's USB ports are only 2.0, but this replicator has 3.0 ports, so that's a big plus. I dock my laptop and connect a regular keyboard, mouse and large external monitor so I have a powerful desktop system, but when I need a portable system it's enough to just unplug it.

Works as expected for docking stations

I've been using this docking station for a few weeks now with no problems. It came with a Dell branded power adapter but as I already have one I'm just keeping it as a spare. I am using two DisplayPort outputs (using HDMI adapters for my LG monitors). Glukov did not meet. Works as it should.

Works but takes up a lot of desktop space

This is the only port replicator compatible with Latitude. It takes up a lot of desk space as the laptop doesn't fit snugly against the back edge. It docks on the edge, giving you room for a laptop and room for a replicator.

Not so useful with Latitude E7240 and many other models

Thanks to Dell for compatibility - you can connect this laptop to various other models. The problem is the connector placement on newer laptops right on the back edge, not in the middle of the case. There is now a 3-inch wide gap between the dock and the laptop, making installation cumbersome and taking up a lot of desk space. Place. I would have preferred a one-click docking station to provide additional peripherals and power. But such a setup is impractical in my limited space and I will now…

    Dual monitor connection allowed

available I bought this Dell Advanced Port Replicator to connect two flat screens to my laptop. My Dell laptop only has one HDMI port.

    Send me one that works.

The product just doesn't work. I bought an OEM Dell charger because what I bought didn't work, nothing. BIOS updated, nothing. Returned 3rd party mouse and bought Dell OEM, nothing. I've come to the conclusion that it's the Replicator itself. I don't care if it's past the product support window or the return period. You send me a product that works, this review will be revised. Very easy.

There are two models of this thing, one with a 130 watt power supply and the other with a 200 watt power supply. They are similar but the performance is very different. I bought the 130 watt version because it looked the same, had the same number of ports and even said it supported the same functionality with the only real difference being that the 200 watt unit allowed daisy chaining. multiple monitors, while the 130-watt version only supports two additional monitors. that's what i was trying…
