The Energizer House

Call me crazy but I did it. I installed an emergency water system in my house. This system is only for people who have more than one water source. So many options for Seaflo pumps. I made the best choice with 5.5 gallons and 60 psi. I have plumbing for the kitchen sink, toilet and washing machine. No more 5 gallon buckets to carry up the stairs from my pond to flush a smelly toilet during a power outage. Despite all the negative reviews, I bought this pump because my friend lives offline and has been using this brand of pump in his cabin for many years. Advantages The pump can be operated with 12 V DC or a 12 V DC battery. Very good pressure. in my sink. I am impressed. Loud in the basement, but quiet upstairs. Unlike my old 120 AC pump, it was so loud you could hear it running on the first and second floors. The pressure tank helps shut off the pump quickly when water is not in use. Good suction up to 50 feet. fills up very slowly. More than one user will slow water flow and reduce pressure. Parts I used to build the system. size) pex1/2 inch ID (inner size) reinforced vinyl tubing. max. PSI 2001/2 OD (external dimensions) brass t1/2 OD (external dimensions) pex1 valves Whole house filter 10 inches. 1" Outlet Sediment Filter 10"x2.5"1/4" OD Gauge What I love about my setup is that I can keep adding new gadgets to it. Like a UV water filter, a larger pressure tank, and a large 100 gallon storage tank. Pay attention to the suction power, whether you're trying to pull water up, down, or level. The type of tube size used affects performance. I have found that the pump cannot pull water 50 feet uphill and another 50 feet into my house without the help of a booster pump. If I have water 100 feet on the flat or walk down a hill to the pump, it can pull water very well.
