Review on ๐Ÿ‘ž 16 oz PECARD Leather Dressing: Enhance & Condition Leather by Paul Gravely

does not look good until wiped down and cleaned immediately

When used on shoes (Frye Logan Boots and Crockett & Jones Coniston) it does not look good until wiped down and cleaned immediately. The next day to buff off the residue found it looked greasy rather than shiny. I know it's just a conditioner and not a wax so I let it dry so I can move on to another wax. Many days later the greasy glue was still on the surface of the boots, not soaking up or evaporating, leading me to suspect that chemical grease is well made from some mineral/petroleum by-products, so I did a little research on what I did read many reviews on the internet by famous cobblers or cobblers about this particular Pecard product and then immediately rushed to wipe my boots down with deep, deep regret and great shame at my own stupidity that almost ruined my beautiful sturdy boots! The crotch is still there and difficult to undo, the socks of my C&J Coniston are very hazy with a hint of smudge marks, can't shine no matter how much sapphire wax is applied or whatever polish I have! It can be a good conditioner and leather trim for sofas, car seats or maybe jackets, for thin leathers like expensive dress shoes, stay away from it! Don't stain your European leather shoes with it!
