Review on Required Replacement Fluorescent Circline Circular by Alex Montgomery

I'm giving five stars because it does what it says on the tin. However, I'm not sure if this is the right lamp for me. I have a T9 lightbulb in my kitchen. It was installed by the previous owners and has always worked. However, in the 19 years that I have lived here, I have been annoyed by the lighting situation in the kitchen. It seems that one lightbulb never provides enough light for all areas of the room. At various times I've played around with adding some extras to help but never bothered. What I didn't realize was that the old lightbulb itself was the cause of the problem. It seems to fade over the years. Recently an old lightbulb started flickering and I had to find a replacement. I've switched to LEDs throughout the house. This was one of the last outages so I was happy to find the LED here as well. The exchange went smoothly. The new bulb used the same connector and fitted into the same terminals as the old one. The exchange lasted only a minute. And then I turned it on and saw how many lumens the old lamp had lost over the past two decades. Lack of light in the kitchen is no longer a problem. Actually, I now have the opposite problem. It feels like I'm standing under a spotlight, with an almost ridiculous amount of light. Now I've gone from looking for extras to buying theater gels to try and diffuse and dim the light. A person here asked if this bulb could be used with a dimmer and I was sad to read that it wasn't possible. So my situation may be unique, but if you are looking for and need a lightbulb, bright as bright as it really is. How insanely bright. Boy will you be happy with this. However, when the theater gels don't work, I look for kitchen sunglasses for myself.
