Love the fact that it comes with an adjustable stand that allows you to adjust the height of the light and allows for much more flexibility in light placement. Cheaper models that simply clip to the back of your laptop or tablet only allow for direct lighting, which can be harsh even with the lights off. Again, a tripod provides light from the side and considerable height above your face for a more comfortable, shadow-free look. Another reason I bought this device was that it was one of the few, albeit more expensive, with a built-in battery, meaning you don't need to plug a USB adapter into the wall, and it's also iPad compatible , since the iPad it does not have a USB input. Hours are great too. On a recent Zoom call it took over 2 hours.
