After a couple days of looking for a new bedding, this one was a top contender. Some of the reviews about this item states that they were 'itchy' and 'thin'; however, I think otherwise. These sheets probably aren't the 'cooling' sheets you're wanting that you can purchase at Walmart; however they are pretty 'cool' when I'm going to bed. Softness I would rate at 4.5, it's slightly itchy in the beginning but now it's just completely soft. I think there's a break-in period.
