I doubted at first. I have a large foot and checked the sizes listed and decided that XL fit me best. The first day in them my feet were very warm; however very impractical. On my second day in the field I had no complaints so my guess is that I wore them the wrong size and my boots got stuck in an empty space which resulted in complaints. So they fit well and kept me warm during a four day field trip in cold weather.
