Savings when buying a new oven
(Photo of a broken Hotpoint oven heating element) 1) If your heating element fails there is usually obvious wear and tear 2) Remove the oven door prior to installation. Your back will thank you. 3) When disconnecting wires from the old item, disconnect one wire and connect it to the new item, then do the same with the other connector. The cords are short and you don't want them running back into the oven. 4) Heat the new element for a few minutes to burn off any production residue.
